Repigmentation in facial vitiligo depends on the affected areas
It is currently not well documented whether the chance of repigmentation differs by location on the face. We conducted a retrospective analysis of 36 patients treated with topical treatment and methotrexate for facial vitiligo with or without additional phototherapy. Vitiligo on the forehead and temporal sides of the face was a good prognostic factor, whereas the broad areas around the eyes and mouth represent more treatment-resistant parts.
