Smart Microneedle Arrays Integrating Cell‐Free Therapy and Nanocatalysis to Treat Liver Fibrosis (Adv. Sci. 31/2024)

Smart Microneedle Arrays for Liver Fibrosis Treatment In article number 2309940, Kai Li, Yu Tao, Mingqiang Li, and co‐workers present a versatile microneedle array integrating cell‐free therapy and nanocatalysis for liver fibrosis treatment. These microneedles release core‐shell nanoparticles encapsulating stem cell secretome, which deactivate hepatic stellate cells, rejuvenate hepatocytes, and suppress inflammation. Additionally, the released nanozymes scavenge reactive oxygen species and alleviate hypoxia. This innovative therapeutic strategy demonstrates remarkable efficacy in treating liver fibrosis. Abstract

Smart Microneedle Arrays for Liver Fibrosis Treatment In article number 2309940, Kai Li, Yu Tao, Mingqiang Li, and co‐workers present a versatile microneedle array integrating cell‐free therapy and nanocatalysis for liver fibrosis treatment. These microneedles release core‐shell nanoparticles encapsulating stem cell secretome, which deactivate hepatic stellate cells, rejuvenate hepatocytes, and suppress inflammation.
