Complete genome sequence of the OXA-48-producing <i>Klebsiella pneumoniae</i> strain 11978

We announce the complete genome sequence of <i>Klebsiella pneumoniae</i> strain 11978 isolated from a patient hospitalized in Turkey in 2001. The genome belongs to sequence type 14 and includes three plasmids. Notably, it presents an IncL plasmid carrying <i>bla</i>OXA-48, which demonstrated global success in terms of dissemination.
