Optimization of typical structural components of composite materials based on fatigue life
Abstract Optimizing the fatigue life of reinforced composite panels in hypersonic aircraft is crucial for enhancing performance and reliability. Employing the rainflow counting method and a linear cumulative damage model, we process stress-time history data under random loading. The optimization model, with structural fatigue life as the objective function and parameters as constraints, is tackled using genetic algorithms. This efficient approach, exemplified with needle-punched C/SiC composite reinforced panels, significantly improves fatigue life, offering substantial benefits to hypersonic aircraft.
