Wave Interference Suppression for Underwater Polarization Navigation
Underwater polarization navigation has enormous potential due to the good performance of anti-interference and no accumulated error. However, during underwater navigation it was found that polarization information is highly susceptible to wave interference. In response to the issue where images collected by underwater vehicles during polarization light navigation are affected by dynamic wave disturbances. This paper proposes a method based on pseudo-color mapping and GANs for suppression of wave disturbances interference. The simulation results indicate that the denoised images exhibit significant advantages in terms of the PSNR, MSE, and SSIM indicators. Consequently, this approach significantly overcomes the interference of waves and further enhances the feasibility of biomimetic polarization navigation for underwater applications.
