Chebyshev Polynomials Expanded Adaptive Control Strategy for Real-time Force Tracking of Electro-hydraulic Systems

Real-time force tracking control of electrohydraulic systems is extensively utilized in industry for various application purposes. To improve the real-time force tracking accuracy of electro-hydraulic systems, a Chebyshev polynomial extended adaptive control strategy consisting of a feedforward inverse model controller and a Chebyshev polynomial extended adaptive filter is proposed. By utilizing the acquired inverse model of the PI controlled electro-hydraulic system, a feedforward inverse model controller is formulated, where the inverse model is obtained via zero magnitude error tracking technology on the basis of system model identified by system identification technology. A Chebyshev polynomials expanded adaptive filter is further incorporated into the previously mentioned feedforward inverse model controller to form the proposed adaptive control strategy. Comparative experiments are conducted on an electro-hydraulic system, and the effectiveness of the proposed adaptive control strategy is shown by the experimental results.
