DOA accuracy improvement method for moving acoustic array
This paper focuses on the issue of reduced accuracy in Direction of Arrival (DOA) estimation caused by the movement of an acoustic array. The causes of this phenomenon are analyzed using the signal incidence model. An iterative correction method was proposed to mitigate the impact of array motion on direction-finding accuracy when applied to the DOA estimation over multiple iterations. The formulas for array coordinate offset during motion were derived, starting with the linear array, and subsequently generalized to arrays of arbitrary geometry. Based on the derived coordinate offset formulas, a coordinate correction method is proposed. Simulation results for the cross-shaped, rectangular, and circular arrays demonstrate a significant improvement in the orientation accuracy of the array during motion using the proposed correction method.
