ERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF STUDENTS AS A FACTOR IN THE PREFERENCE FOR DISTANCE LEARNING

His article is devoted to the consideration of problems associated with distance education. Today, online learning is becoming more popular, but a number of questions arise regarding the effectiveness of this form. The article presents the results of a study of students' personal characteristics as a factor in the preference for this form of education. A comparative analysis of the volitional, motivational characteristics and self-efficacy of students who prefer and do not prefer distance learning is carried out. The authors come to the conclusion that, in general, the motives for learning among these groups differ significantly.
