The Teaching of Bulgarian Literature as Distantly Own
The text describes the particular alienation effect that arises when teaching Bulgarian literature outside Bulgaria. Special attention is paid to works in translation and their role in the teaching. The problem of the unavoidable ideological marking of the translated artistic text is addressed, and the deviations from the original in several translated poems from the German edition Atanas Daltschew. Gedichte (1976) are examined in detail.
