Honouring Mothers Through Creating Ceremony
Claire has facilitated women’s circles for over five years. This article explores the role these ceremonial gatherings play in women’s experiences of pregnancy, birth and motherhood and the transferable lessons from facilitating them that can be used in midwifery. I acknowledge the custodians of the land on which I write this article. The Blue Mountains is in the Ngurra (Country) of the Gundungurra and Dharug Traditional Owners who have a continuous and deep relationship with Ngurra since the time of creation. I acknowledge that I sit and write this story on unceded land.
