Cell Electrokinetic Fingerprint: A Novel Approach Based on Optically Induced Dielectrophoresis (ODEP) for In‐Flow Identification of Single Cells (Small Methods 8/2024)

Single Cell Analysis In article number 2300923, Martinelli and co-workers developed an optically-induced dielectrophoresis-based system for analyzing single cells by extracting electrokinetic features. Like in a “ping-pong” match, the alternation of two virtual electrode barriers, characterized each time by a different frequency, have induced frequency-dependent displacements that are used as fingerprints to identify the different cells.

Abstract

Single Cell Analysis In article number 2300923, Martinelli and co-workers developed an optically-induced dielectrophoresis-based system for analyzing single cells by extracting electrokinetic features. Like in a “ping-pong” match, the alternation of two virtual electrode barriers, characterized each time by a different frequency, have induced frequency-dependent displacements that are used as fingerprints to identify the different cells.
