Multi‐Scale Ice Inhibition Platform Enables Full‐Cycle Cryogenic Protection for Mouse Oocyte (Adv. Funct. Mater. 33/2024)
Full-Cycle Cryogenic Protection In article number 2402312, Huanzhong Liu, Yunxia Cao, Gang Zhao, and co-workers propose a multi-scale ice inhibition platform, which effectively suppresses ice crystal morphology, ice recrystallization, thermal stress, and devitrification. Based on this ice inhibition platform, they achieve high-efficiency cryopreservation of mouse oocyte using the low concentration of penetrating cryoprotective agents. Meanwhile, recovered oocytes retain normal fertilization, embryonic development, and birth to healthy offspring, offering promising prospects for achieving high-quality fertility preservation.
