Cardiotoxicity Assessment through a Polymer‐Based Cantilever Platform: An Integrated Electro‐Mechanical Screening Approach (Small 33/2024)
Cardiotoxicity Assessment In article number 2311274, Dong-Weon Lee and co-workers introduce a novel platform combining eight cantilevers with strain sensors and microelectrode arrays (MEA) for non-invasive, real-time monitoring of cardiomyocyte contraction force and field potential. It detects a minimum contraction force of 2 µN and MEA signals with a 50 µm diameter, accurately assessing cardiotoxicity profiles of various drugs, including those not affecting potassium channels.
