SenseHub Youngstock app updatedMSD Animal Health UK has updated its SenseHub Dairy Youngstock application plan so that it now covers all nipple-fed calves from birth.The system's electronic ear tag monitors the behavioural patterns of calves from birth to months of age, helping to identify signs of potential ill health or opportunities for longterm welfare improvements.Previously, the SenseHub Youngstock plan -which was o cially launched in the UK in March -was only compatible for preweaning, nipple-fed calves housed in single occupancy hutches, or for weaned calves housed in group pens.The recent update means that preweaning, nipple-fed calves housed in groups can now be included.
