Preface

Abstract With the rapid development of global industrial manufacturing technologies and continuous innovations in the field of structural materials, the International Conference on Industrial Manufacturing and Structural Materials (IMSM) has become an important platform for scholars, researchers, and industry experts in the field to exchange the latest research results and share technological advances. Following the success of the previous three conferences, we are honored to have convened the 2024 4 th International Conference on Industrial Manufacturing and Structural Materials 2024 (IMSM 2024), held from March 15 th to 17 th , 2024 in Nanjing, China via virtual format. This Conference focused on such topics related to industrial manufacturing and structural materials as Intelligent Manufacturing Technology, New Sensing Technology, Industrial Robots and Automatic Production Line, High Performance Metal Structural Materials, Structural Intermetallic Compounds, Nanostructured Materials, etc. We invited renowned scholars and experts from around the world to serve as keynote speakers, who shared their latest research results, practical experience and future directions in related domains. These thematic reports provided participants with comprehensive and in-depth understanding and insight, stimulating thinking and innovation. Apart from the keynote speeches, we also held a series of oral and poster presentations. These presentations covered different aspects of industrial manufacturing and structural materials, presenting the results and findings of the delegates in their research and practice. Scholars who participated in oral presentations and poster presentations had in-depth exchanges with other participants, sharing experiences and insights, and jointly exploring cutting-edge issues in relevant disciplines. In addition, we have carefully selected and prepared a collection of Proceedings based on this Conference, which represents a bunch of excellent papers, covering the latest research results and innovative ideas in related fields. This Proceedings will be an important reference for the academic community, providing researchers with opportunities for in-depth research, and will also inject new vitality and impetus into the development and innovation in the fields of and related to industrial manufacturing and structural materials. Finally, we would like to express our sincere thanks to all for their support and participation in the Conference. We believe that through the exchange and cooperation of this Conference, we will jointly create a new future in the fields of industrial manufacturing and structural materials.
