Research on the effect of laser parameters on the ultrafast laser processing of PMMA microgrooves
Abstract Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) is a common synthetic polymer with high transparency, good mechanical strength, weather resistance, etc. It is widely used in scientific research and engineering applications. Good processing properties also make it a favorite among researchers in the field of laser processing. In this paper, acrylic is used as the workpiece, and a 535nm nanosecond laser and 800nm femtosecond laser are used for microgroove processing. Through experimental analysis, the effect and variation pattern of different parameters of the two lasers on the microflute depth and width are compared. These results will support and guide the development of more sophisticated microstructure processing techniques for PMMA.
