Research on heat dissipation performance of electric vehicle brake disc based on multi-field coupling

Abstract The thermodynamic research method of brake discs based on fluid-thermosolid multi-field coupling has a certain relationship with ventilation conditions. To study the influence of semi-closed wheels of electric vehicles on the heat dissipation performance of automobile ventilation discs, the fluid-heat-solid coupling method was adopted, and the coupling platform of ANSYS system was used to realize the complete coupling operation of transient fluid-heat-solid, and the heat dissipation process of ventilation disc of electric vehicles with semi-closed wheels was analyzed under emergency braking conditions. The temperature distribution, flow field characteristics, and stress distribution of brake discs under two different ventilation modes were compared, and the changing rules and distribution characteristics of temperature, flow field, and stress were summarized. Compared with normal ventilation conditions, the calculated values of transient temperature and stress at the corresponding part of the ventilated brake disc increased significantly under weak ventilation conditions.
