Influence of new wire structure on AC loss of high-temperature superconducting cables
Abstract The different structures of wire in high-temperature superconductors (HTS) can affect the magnetic field distribution of the tapes, thereby influencing the AC losses of the tapes. In this paper, a cylindrical HTS cable model of different HTS tapes was established using the finite element analysis software COMSOL Multiphysics, and the AC losses of different superconducting cables were calculated based on the H equation. Through data collection and result analysis, the effectiveness, accuracy, and rationality of the simulation calculations were verified.
