Strategically manage singlet and triplet excitons by phosphorescence sensitization in organic light-emitting diodes

Organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) utilizing full-fluorescent emissions, exhibit notable advantages, including costeffectiveness and excellent color stability. Additionally, managing excitons within fluorescent WOLEDs further complicates the matter. In this study, this article had successfully developed high performance fluorescent OLEDs by precisely controlling the concentration of phosphorescent-sensitized red fluorescent emitters within the emissive layer. The emissive layer consists of a blend of phosphorescent sensitizer Ir(ppy)3 with red fluorescent emitter DCJTB. The resulting red fluorescent OLEDs ’s current efficiency is 10.88 cd/A, power efficiency is 11.39 lm/W. At a brightness of 1000 cd/m^2, the efficiency values are 3.98 cd/A, 6.38 lm/W. The proposed strategic approach offers a promising path towards practically deploying high-performance red fluorescent WOLEDs in academic and industrial contexts.
