Wetting of soap bubbles on topographic surfaces

The derived predictions imply that the relationship between the static contact angle for bubbles on a flat homogeneous surface and on a composite surface, has the same form as the Cassie-Baxter equation for a droplet. The experimental results for the measured static contact angle for both bubble volumes on the varying surfaces had good agreement with the predicted trends.

Abstract

The derived predictions imply that the relationship between the static contact angle for bubbles on a flat homogeneous surface and on a composite surface, has the same form as the Cassie-Baxter equation for a droplet. The experimental results for the measured static contact angle for both bubble volumes on the varying surfaces had good agreement with the predicted trends.
