POWER GENERATION, ECONOMY AND LAW IN THE ARCTIC ZONE OF RUSSIA
The article examines the correlation of interconnected areas: energy, economics and law. It was emphasized that energy resources for solving the strategic tasks of the state are effective areas for the development of economic activity in the Arctic zone of Russia. It is emphasized in the Arctic that the profit mechanism is associated with the production of hydrocarbons on the Arctic shelf. Important problems of the structure of the infrastructure complex and environmental protection during the extraction of minerals on the shelf by methods of new technologies are touched upon. It is justified that strategic directions as an economy and law should be combined to adopt a special legal regime for all subjects of the Arctic zone of Russia. An array of regulatory legal acts on economic activity in the Arctic has been investigated. It is proposed to adopt a comprehensive federal law for the development of the country’s economy in relation to raw materials energy.
