Hyperimmune malarial splenomegaly in a malaria-endemic area of southwest Burkina Faso: case of Bobo-Dioulasso
This study provides a database on hyperreactive malarial splenomegaly (HMS) in the south-west region of Burkina Faso. Rapid and accurate diagnosis of the disease and appropriate use of effective antimalarial drugs would significantly reduce the burden of HMS in Sub-Saharan African countries.
