Thoracoscopic segmentectomy for “black lung”: a case report

Background: Segmentectomy is a standard approach for treating small lung cancers, aimed at preventing local recurrence. Various methods are used to identify the intersegmental plane, but their effectiveness diminishes in lungs affected by severe conditions such as emphysema or anthracosis. This report demonstrates a successful thoracoscopic segmentectomy in a patient with severe anthracosis.
