RETRATAMENTO ENDODÔNTICO COM FINALIDADE PROTÉTICA – RELATO DE CASO

The objective of this article was to report a clinical case of failure of primary treatment and endodontic retreatment carried out in a single session. A 52-year-old patient attended the Clínica Integral III of the Faculty of Dentistry of Pernambuco, requiring retreatment for prosthetic reasons. On clinical examination, exposure of the gutta-percha to the oral environment was observed and the patient reported that the restoration fell out more than 4 months ago. The radiographic examination demonstrated a sub-filling. The filling material was removed with the Prodesgn rotary system and repreparation with the Prodesign Logic 2 system. The filling was performed using the single cone technique associated with Bio C Sealer cement and the patient was referred to the prosthetist. It was concluded that retreatment carried out in a single session determines the modeling of the root canal system efficiently and quickly.
