REVIEW PAPER ON AUTOMATIC HYDROPONIC SYSTEM

Soil-based cultivation encounters significant challenges, including lack of manpower and increase in labor wages, water scarcity. Moreover, the escalating difficulty in obtaining chemical-free vegetables is exacerbated by soil degradation, prompting the excessive use of fertilizers and chemicals. In response, scientists have introduced an alternative: hydroponics, a method involving plant growth in nutrient-rich water solutions. The creative strategy direct towards the scarcity of resources but also offers significant advantages, enabling the cultivation of a multitude of plants in a compact space, reducing overall production costs, and eliminating the reliance on chemical inputs.Notably, hydroponics provides a solution to modern predicaments by incorporating automation through sensors, actuators, and IoT platforms. This technology enables precise monitoring and control of crucial features like temperature, pH levels, humidity, nutrient solution levels, and total dissolved solids (TDS).Consequently, hydroponics emerges as a sustainable and efficient alternative to conventional soil-based cultivation, mitigating significant challenges faced by traditional agricultural practices.
