Nonreciprocal Electromagnetic Transmission and Reception Mechanisms of Magnetoelectric Acoustically Excited Antennas
This letter innovatively analyzes nonreciprocal magnetoelectric acoustically excited antennas using 3-D bidirectional multiphysics-coupled finite element models. The nonreciprocity is proved by comparing the differences between antenna transmission and reception modes. The impact of mechanical losses, antenna dimensions, and material attributes on the nonreciprocity is studied. Results show that nonreciprocity creates isolation for different optimal performances of transmission and reception modes at unequal resonant frequencies. This study reveals the nonreciprocity of magnetoelectric acoustically exited antennas, providing new thinking for their developments and applications.
