O SISTEMA ENDOCANABINOIDE E AS PRINCIPAIS FORMAS DE MANTER SEU EQUILÍBRIO: UMA REVISÃO DE LITERATURA

Considering that the endocannabinoid system (ECS) is an essential ally in the regulation and balance of various physiological processes in the human body and, thus, the negative implications of imbalance in this system, the objective of this study is to analyze the main exogenous substances derived from cannabis sativa , which can help rebalance the SEC. To achieve this purpose, a literature review of scientific articles published in the last five years was carried out in the online databases SciELO and PubMed Central, using the term: Endocannabinoid system AND Cannabis sativa as a search strategy. Therefore, it presents the benefits of the main phytocannabinoids and also their adverse effects, as well as how they interact with each other; The relationship between the endocannabinoid system and the main cannabinoids and brief considerations on synthetic cannabinoids (SCS). It is noteworthy that the prescription of phytocannabinoids requires specific criteria and, therefore, medical caution. This reflects the importance of producing knowledge on this topic that is so important to medicine, society and science in general.
