Formation of Alfvénic super-nonlinear waves ina plasma containing double spectral distributedelectrons

Abstract The characteristics of nonlinear and super-nonlinear Alfvén waves propagating
in a multicomponent plasma composed of double spectral electron distribution,
positive and negative ions are investigated. The Sagdeev technique is employed
and the energy equation is derived. Our findings show that the proposed system
reveal the existence of double layer solution (DLS), periodic, super-soliton and
super-periodic waves. The phase portrait and the potential analysis related to
these waves are investigated to study the main features of the existed waves. It
is also found that decreasing the electron temperature helps the super-periodic
structure to be excited in our plasma model. Our results help in interpreting
nonlinear and super-nonlinear features of the recorded Alfvén waves propagating
in the ionosphere D-region.
