EVALUATING THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF MORTAR WITH FCG AND RECYCLED RUBBER WASTE
Although essential to the construction industry, mortar has inherent drawbacks that necessitate further exploration of durable, environmentally friendly building materials. To address these issues, various compounds are blended to create mortar composites widely used in cement concrete applications worldwide.Advances in understanding material behavior, particularly in admixtures, waste utilization, and curing processes, facilitate the development of high-performance or modified mortars.By combining sand and cement in specific ratios, these special mortars offer distinct advantages over traditional cement-based ones.Utilizing waste materials such as recycled glass and rubber addresses pollution and environmental concerns associated with raw material extraction. Moreover, as the demand for cement and sand rises, incorporating these waste materials into mortar production becomes increasingly significant.Industrialization and urbanization have intensified challenges related to waste disposal and recycling, making it crucial to find sustainable solutions like integrating waste materials into construction to conserve natural resources.Replacing cement with glass powder not only reduces costs but also enhances mortar's compressive strength through its pozzolanic properties. These waste materials, which are currently not recycled, pose significant disposal challenges, underscoring the importance of their effective utilization in the construction sector.
