CICLOPATRULHAMENTO: RADIOPATRULHAMENTO REALIZADO COM BICICLETAS

This study aims to bring the concept of Bicycle Patrol to the debate, as well as the circumstances of its use and aspects related to police approach in their daily operations. In this context, Community Policing is the basis for the application of this type of policing in urban areas of cities in Paraná and Brazil. Considerations on motorized and non-motorized radio patrols were also brought to this study, based on the author's professional experiences. Furthermore, the approach techniques and their principles were discussed, with the appropriate procedural sequence of actions to carry out a police approach, when carrying out Bicycle Patrols, with their developments and possibilities. In this context of police approach, it was made clear that there is no contradiction in carrying out police actions with rigor and being cordial during motorized or non-motorized radio patrols. Finally, the aim was to highlight the need to carry out police actions focused on prevention through Bicycle Patrols.
