Exploring the Integration of Technology through Digital Initiatives as per NEP 2020
The National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) aims to revolutionize education in India through digital initiatives. This study examines how government projects like ePathshala and DIKSHA are being implemented in schools nationwide. These initiatives provide digital textbooks, videos, and other learning materials, making education more accessible and engaging for students from pre-primary to class 12.By integrating Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into classrooms, NEP 2020 seeks to create interactive learning environments that cater to diverse educational needs.Digital learning plays a crucial role in NEP 2020 by promoting equitable access to quality education. It enhances teaching methods and empowers educators to deliver curriculum-aligned content effectively.Despite these benefits, schools face challenges such as inadequate infrastructure and the need for teacher training to effectively use these digital tools.Overcoming these challenges is vital to realizing NEP 2020's vision of inclusive education.Projects like SWAYAM further democratize education by offering free online courses across various subjects and levels.Additionally, virtual labs provide hands-on learning experiences in scientific subjects, complementing traditional classroom teachings. These initiatives not only enrich learning but also prepare students for a technology-driven future.Looking ahead, the research suggests strategies to optimize digital learning under NEP 2020.It emphasizes the importance of continuous investment in infrastructure and teacher development to maximize the benefits of digital education.By harnessing the potential of digital tools and platforms, NEP 2020 can transform classrooms into dynamic hubs of learning, ensuring every student receives a quality education tailored to their needs.
