ANÁLISE DO PLANO AMBIENTAL DE CONSERVAÇÃO E USO DO ENTORNO DE RESERVATÓRIOS ARTIFICIAIS (PACUERA) DA BACIA HIDROGRÁFICA DE TERRA NOVA, SEMIÁRIDO PERNAMBUCANO

The integrated management of water resources aims to guarantee water quality and quantity in river basins, associating water management with its multiple uses and various areas of knowledge. The objective of this study was to evaluate the Environmental Plan for Conservation and Use of the Surroundings of the Artificial Reservoirs (PACUERA) of the Terra Nova watershed, state of Pernambuco since with the execution of the Project for the Integration of the São Francisco River with the Northern Northeast Basins (PISF), five artificial reservoirs were built in this basin. For this, bibliographic and documentary research was carried out considering the Socio-Environmental Diagnosis and the Environmental Zoning, which make up the PACUERA of the basin. The Plan considers of paramount importance the preservation of the useful life and quality of reservoirs. Several environmental programs are part of the Basin Plan and reinforce the importance of monitoring so that the activities developed occur in a sustainable way, in addition to encouraging the participation of the population as protagonists in the management of water resources. The importance of PACUERA is evident as an instrument of environmental and water resources management, for carrying out diagnoses and proposing guidelines for maintaining water quality and supplying adequate quantities to the population.
