The study examined a clinical case of extraction of an impacted/impacted upper right third molar. the 21-year-old patient, wing 1, went to the teaching clinic of the Faculty of Dentistry of Manaus-FOM to request treatment for element 18. After authorization through the Informed Consent Form, treatment began. Throughout the anamnesis, the patient mentioned painful symptoms in the right region of the maxilla, which caused great discomfort. Clinical and imaging exams were also carried out, with tooth number 18 showing gingival inflammation. The procedure chosen was extraction. The conclusion is that the dental surgeon must carry out clinical and auxiliary examinations, as in the case in question, the appropriate indication of a less traumatic method resulted in satisfactory results.
