Silk Sericin is a Potent, Multifunctional Biomaterial for Endothelialization of Tissue‐Engineered Heart Valves (Adv. Funct. Mater. 32/2024)
Silk Sericin In article number 2315826, Nianguo Dong, Lin Wang, and co-workers present a silk sericin-modified decellularized heart valve that effectively prevents platelet adhesion and activation, while promoting endothelial cell adhesion, growth, and function, which results in rapid in vivo endothelialization. These highlight its significant potential for treating heart valve diseases and enhance our understanding of sericin's biological activity, as well as providing a theoretical foundation for its broad application in the biomedical field.
