Preface

With the rapid development of information technology, big data has become an important force to promote social progress and scientific and technological innovation. At the same time, applied statistics, as a bridge connecting data and knowledge, has become increasingly prominent in its central role in big data analysis. Against this background, we have welcomed the 2024 7 th International Symposium on Big Data and Applied Statistics (ISBDAS 2024) held virtually from March 8 th to 10 th , 2024 in Beijing, China. This Symposium aimed to bring together experts and scholars, engineers and technologists, and technology developers in the field of big data and applied statistics from all over the world to share scientific research results, discuss cutting-edge technologies, and promote academic progress and industrial cooperation. The topics of this Symposium are broad and in-depth, covering all aspects of big data and applied statistics. We have invited renowned scholars and industry experts from all over the world to conduct in-depth exchanges and discussions on the latest research results, technology development trends, and industrial application prospects of big data and applied statistics. During the Symposium, participants listened to exciting presentations from different fields, had in-depth exchanges with their peers, and jointly promoted the development of big data and applied statistics and their relevant areas. The compilation of the proceedings of ISBDAS 2024 is a comprehensive presentation of the academic results of this Symposium. We received many high-quality submissions from all over the world, and after a rigorous review process, we finally included these papers with innovative and practical value. These papers not only cover multiple research directions in big data and applied statistics, but also demonstrate the latest research results and technical applications. We believe that the publication of these papers will have a positive impact on the research and practice of big data and applied statistics. In the process of compiling the proceedings, we have received great support and help from many experts, scholars and reviewers. They carefully reviewed each paper and made valuable comments and suggestions to ensure the quality and level of the contributions. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all the experts and scholars who participated in reviewing and submitting the papers! List of Committee Member is available in this Pdf.
