Modeling Thermal Storage in A Rectangular Panel Containing Phase Change Material Subject to A Constant Solar Flow
The objective of this present research is to model heat transfers in a rectangular panel containing phase change material for energy storage. This panel is subjected to a constant solar flux of 1000 W/m 2 , with a maximum and minimum temperature of 35°C and 25°C respectively.During this research, several results were obtained, the main ones of which are: the validation of the model through an experimental study carried out by other researchers, the comparative study of the storage efficiency between two different phase change materials namely: RT27 paraffin and hydrated salt, the evolution of the heat stored in the PCM at different points over time, the influence of the variation of the heat stored as a function of thickness, the variation of the enthalpy as a function of temperature, heat stored and released in the PCM for 8 days of simulation, average mass fraction of charge and discharge and the influence of the variation in solar flux on the storage and release efficiency of the heat in the PCM.
