Analysis of prevalence dynamics breastfeeding (according to the center for the promotion and support of breastfeeding of the Astrakhan region)

Breastfeeding is the best way to provide ideal nutrition for the healthy growth and development of infants. The aim of our work was to analyze the dynamics of the prevalence of breastfeeding in the Astrakhan region. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that in the whole city and region, the breastfeeding rate remains consistently high – 65,8 % (in 2019 – 64,5 %). This indicates the need to continue to promote and support breastfeeding, as well as the prevention and effective treatment of hypogalactia.
