Slake-durability behaviour of coal mine shales

In this paper, a quantitative discussion on the durability of coal mine shales is given on the basis of the results obtained by means of three different kinds of slaking tests. Vertical closure, the problem that arising due to slaking phenomenon in longwall mining, is also investigated.
