Review on Optimal Placement of FACTS Devices

Now a days, power consumption is rising rapidly due to electrical equipment upgrading.On the other side, construction limits may cause congestion in existing transmission lines.Consequently, system blackouts may occur.Electrical transmission and distribution firms aim to create a way to increase system thermal limit or power flow capacity.Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) devices are the most effective way to adjust line flow in electrical systems.This paper explores the building and deployment of FACTS devices, utilising various strategies to optimise their placement in the system.
