Health monitoring system

In recent years, the demand for real-time health monitoring systems has grown rapidly due to increasing health awareness and the need for early detection of medical conditions. This paper presents the design and implementation of an intelligent health monitoring system that continuously tracks vital physiological parameters such as heart rate, body temperature, blood oxygen levels (SpO), and blood pressure. The proposed system employs wearable sensors integrated with microcontroller-based hardware to collect realtime health data. The data is transmitted wirelessly to a centralized platform using IoT (Internet of Things) protocols, enabling remote monitoring by healthcare professionals and caregivers. To enhance decision-making, the system incorporates a basic anomaly detection algorithm that alerts users and medical personnel when abnormal readings are detected.Additionally, a cloud-based dashboard is developed to visualize trends and maintain historical health records for each patient. The system is designed to be scalable, energy-efficient, and accessible for both clinical and personal health monitoring applications. Results from prototype testing show high reliability, low latency in data transmission, and significant potential in reducing the burden on healthcare infrastructure, especially in rural and under-resourced regions. This work contributes toward a proactive healthcare approach, emphasizing prevention and timely intervention through real-time monitoring.
