An Extensive Review on the Judicial Precedents in 2024 Focusing on Family Law

In 2024, a number of important precedents were sentenced in the field of kinship inheritance law. The main precedents were the ruling of the en banc on the eligibility of same-sex partners for national health insurance, the ruling of the en banc on confirmation of marriage invalidity after divorce, the decision of the en banc on the extinctive prescription of the right to claim child support in the past, the decision of the Constitutional Court on the period of exclusion of the right to claim payment of equivalent value to inheritance, and the decision of the Constitutional Court on the legal portion of inheritance. This article excludes these precedents detailed in previous studies, and despite their importance, I would like to consider the validity by limiting the precedents that differ from them even if they have not been covered in previous studies or have been dealt with in previous studies. The precedents covered in this article are ① judgments on the period of filing a claim for recognition after the father's death, ② judgments on inheritance and special profits, and life insurance, and ③ judgments on the return of will trust and legal reserve of inheritance.
