The multidimensional methods of assessing the competitiveness of farm enterprises

The objective of the paper is to develop the methodology for measuring the competitiveness of agricultural entities, which would meet the content of this concept and take into account the peculiarities of the economic process in agricultural producers.\\nIn the research the author used the following methods of cognition: system analysis and abstract logic methods (for the identification the factors of competitiveness), the principal component analysis and taxonomic analysis (to measure the competitiveness of domestic agricultural entities). The methodical approach to measuring the competitiveness of agricultural entities based on the usage of multivariate methods has been developed. This approach involves measuring the competitiveness within the resource provision, production and marketing, and next generalization them to the single latent index of competitiveness.\\nThe possibilities of application of the developed methodology to measuring the competitiveness of agricultural producers have been considered. The peculiarities of the competitiveness of Ukrainian agricultural entities have been identified, foremost among which are the inability to retain a stable position of the leader and the gap of outsiders from the most successful competitors within only one sphere of the economic process.
