Characteristics of the soil-structures of frozen soils

The soil-structures of artificially frozen soils were observed in macro-scale by an optical microscope and in micro-scale by a cryogenic scanning electron microscope (Cryo-SEM (JSM840A)). This paper describes factors affecting soil-structure in frozen soils microscopically and takes up the characteristics of the microstructures of frozen soils.
