Scholastic theology, Augustinian realism and original guilt
In this paper, I argue that the Reformed scholastic account of original sin and original guilt offers an insightful way of thinking about these two aspects of a full-orbed doctrine of original sin. There are problems that beset this version of the doctrine, but the article closes with an indication of the direction in which it might be taken to amend it, namely, by appropriating a version of Augustinian realism.
